ANDREW EVANS
CHAIR & INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR
Andrew Evans has over 35 years’ experience in real estate and asset management, previously holding executive positions in listed and unlisted real estate investment businesses.
He is the Chairperson of Accessible Properties NZ Limited and Mackersy Property Limited, a Director of Vital Healthcare Property Trust, Holmes Group Limited, Holmes GP Fire Limited and Trust Investments Management Limited. He is also a former director of Argosy Property Limited. In addition, Andrew is a past National President of the Property Council of New Zealand, a fellow of the New Zealand Property Institute and a government appointee to the Land Valuation Tribunal.
Andrew is a chartered fellow of the Institute of Directors and is on the Auckland Branch Committee.
MARK RUSSELL
INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR
Mark Russell is a Partner at Helmore Stewart Lawyers and specialises in agribusiness, water, construction, company, trusts, banking, commercial and insolvency law. He is also a director at Cookie Time International Limited, Sapporo Holdings Limited, also serves as a trustee of the Arts Centre of Christchurch Trust Board, and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors.
Mark studied at Canterbury and Cambridge Universities before lecturing in company and banking law at the University of Canterbury for four years. Mark went into legal practice in 1985, with Weston Ward & Lascelles, some partners of which left to form Brookman Stock (a boutique commercial firm) in 1986. Brookman Stock merged with Buddle Findlay in 1989 and Mark was a partner in the Christchurch office of Buddle Findlay for 25 years before joining the Bar as a commercial barrister at the beginning of 2015.
NIGEL RICHARDS
INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR
Nigel has some 35 years’ experience in the real estate, property development and construction industry across a variety of market sectors and business environments.
With a professional background in civil engineering, his career to date has traversed managerial and governance roles in both the private and public sector within England and New Zealand. His executive responsibilities have included General Manager roles for Lend Lease and more recently McConnell Property Ltd, a role he undertook for 8 years. Nigel has considerable experience in corporate advisory roles having completed real estate assignments for clients such as GE, Carter Holt Harvey, AMP, Housing NZ, Solid Energy and Goldman Sachs JB Were. He is currently an Advisory Board member for McConnell Property and Advisory Board member for Green Scene.
Nigel’s professional affiliations have included leadership roles with the Property Council of New Zealand, Auckland Urban Design Panel and the Green Building Council. He is a current member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors and Property Council of NZ .
